Perhaps no other winery captures the multi-faceted beauty of this windswept, world-famous appellation as dramatically as the Artesa estate, where the fusion of architecture . . .

Hess Collection Winery

Hess Collection Winery“The Hess Collection vineyards represent the diverse growing conditions seen in the Napa Valley. We grow grapes in both cool climates and hot. This has . . .

Jericho Canyon Vineyards

The winery leads to a 6,000 square foot cave which was . . .

Clos Pegase

Clos PegaseNow, if you were to ask the wise-acre, Bacchus, "how do you make a small fortune in the wine business?" chances are he'd reply: "start with a large fortune." An appellation is a legal term used
to define and protect the geogra-phical region where the grapes for a wine were grown. Some of the oldest wine appellations of Samaria, Carmel, Jezreel and Helbon are found in the Bible. In the United States wine appellations have been grandfathered into the American Viticultural Area better known by the acronym: AVA. Before the installation of the AVA system wine appellation regions were often defined by state or county boundaries. Using the AVA name on a wine label requires that 85% of the grapes used must come from the listed viticultural area. There are thirteen wine appellations in Napa Valley.
