 Music
in the Vineyards - is dedicated to bringing together
outstanding artists to perform in the unique vineyard settings
of the Napa Valley so that both the performers and the audience
can experience the intimacy of chamber music as it was intended
to be performed. The festival showcases nationally-known artists-in-residence
performing the classic chamber music repertoire in the unique
ambiance of winery settings so that artists and audiences
alike can experience the intimacy of chamber music as it was
intended to be performed. As part of its outreach mission,
MITV gives scholarships annually to select high school seniors
who intend to continue their study of music at the college/university
level. In addition, MITV offers one free family concert each
festival season, as well as two open rehearsals which are
free to the public.
